Hydra-Dose™ integrates chemical injection directly into the Hydra Bubble Mixing process, combining chemical feed and basin mixing into a single system.

Each Hydra mixer can be equipped with an independent Hydra-Dose injector capable of delivering:

• 64 in³ per injection pulse
• Up to 6 pulses per minute
• 1.66 gallons per minute (gpm) chemical feed rate
• 100 gallons per hour (gph)
• 2,390 gallons per day (gpd)

Unlike surface feed systems that rely on passive diffusion or separate mixing equipment, Hydra-Dose introduces treatment chemicals directly into the turbulent air-water mixing zone generated within the mixer and comes with all of the benefits of the Hydra-Bubble mixer in one simple package.

As the bubble is released, the chemical is immediately entrained into a high-energy mixing region where water, air, and treatment chemistry are rapidly blended. The resulting bubble plume transports the chemical vertically through the water column while simultaneously generating basin-scale circulation patterns that promote horizontal distribution throughout the tank.

The combination of plume transport and bulk circulation helps reduce localized overdosing, minimizes concentration gradients, and improves contact between the treatment chemical and the process water.

Hydra Bubble Mixing systems are typically designed using approximately 2.8 – 5.1 SCFM per 1,000 ft³ of basin volume, allowing chemical distribution to occur using significantly less airflow than conventional coarse-bubble mixing systems.

Hydra-Dose capacity is fully modular. Each additional Hydra mixer can be equipped with its own injector, increasing chemical delivery capacity or distribution by an additional 2,390 gpd while simultaneously expanding the network throughout the basin.
